Printing Techniques
All designs begin with an idea. Together we can decide which embellishment process would work best to bring your design to life. Below is a brief explanation of each decoration process we use.
Embroidery
Embroidery is the process of creating a design in stitches. Although our embroidery process is completely computerized there is still a lot of time and skill involved in creating the design. You can choose from over 20,000 stock designs and fonts we have ready to work with or we can take your artwork or logo and convert it into a stitch file using a process known as digitizing. Once the artwork has been created in a stitch file we can send it to one of our computerized embroidery machines for production.
Applique
A decorating process that combines the use of stitches and fabric cutouts to create a design. It is a multi step process beginning with the creation of a vector file that can be sent to a cutter to cut out the design. Once the fabric part of the design is picked and ready for application we then send the stitch file to an embroidery machine for the application and decoration of the applique on the apparel.
Screenprint
A process used to print onto a garment. The image must first be created in vector format on the computer. After the image is prepared and printed a screen is burnt and the ink is then pulled through the screen to create the design. A separate screen is used for each color in the design.
Heat Seal
This process begins with a design created in a vector format then sent to a cutter to cut the design. Once the design has been picked and is ready a heat press is used to apply the design.
Photo Transfer
We use this process to apply a photo to a t-shirt or other similar item. We have also used it to make quilt squares for personalized quilts. Pillowcases are fun also. The photo is applied to the item with our heat press machine. You first need to send us your photo. We take your photo and set it up in our software to print onto a t-shirt. Letters can also be added for a more personal touch.
